How it is calculated
- Choose the grading standard (Latvia 1–10, US 4.0, … or Custom).
- Add each course with grade and credit hours / ECTS.
- GPA is total quality points divided by total credits.
Questions
Is the Latvia 10-point scale the same as GPA?
Locally you report a credit-weighted average on 1–10 (often called vidējā atzīme). The algebra matches GPA; the scale differs. Conversions to US 4.0 are institutional estimates only.
Is CGPA × 9.5 official?
It is the common CBSE estimate. Many universities publish their own tables.
