National tables are approximations — original ECTS grades are cohort-relative. Pick a local preset (Latvia is one option among many).

Estimated ECTS · not official
ECTS stimato · non ufficiale. La Guida ECTS 2015 ha deprecato il ranking fisso A–E — usare tabelle di distribuzione. Unofficial estimate — not a university transcript or WES evaluation.

Come si calcola
- Choose a local grading preset (generic %, DE, IT, ES, Latvia, …).
- Pick mode: local→ECTS, ECTS→local (+ optional WES-style US letter), or legacy percentile.
- Enter the grade / letter / percentile and read the estimate — not an official transcript.

Why is ECTS “estimated”?
Original ECTS letters compare you to your cohort. The 2015 Users’ Guide replaced fixed A–E ranking with grade distribution tables. National fixed tables (including Latvia’s as one preset) are convenient approximations for mobility paperwork.
How do ECTS credits relate to grades?
They don’t. 60 ECTS/year measures workload. Grade letters are separate. Legacy Latvian kp: 1 kp = 1.5 ECTS. US exchange often uses ~2 ECTS ≈ 1 semester credit.
